Event Timescale Description
4th of July Yearly Many activities happen during these celebrations including, Rodeo's, Street Dance, Parade, Clowns and much much more. Check out this site close to the date for full details of this years event, alternatively call the Tourism Department or Chamber of Commerce on 505-374-9253
Trout Derby Yearly The Clayton Trout Derby is New Mexico's biggest and best fishing derby. Held in May, this has been going for many years, and grows in stature every year. Past prizes have included a boat, golf cart and many many more wonderful prizes.
Art Festival Yearly The Clayton Arts and Crafts festival is usually held in the first weekend in october. Check back on this website close to the date for details.
Gov's Rodeo Yearly The NMRA Governors Rodeo Finals takes place in Clayton every september. This is a greatly attended event. Vendors and such are encouraged to apply to set up booths early.
CAMAC Monthly The Clayton Area Model Airplane Club has its official meetings once a month at the Clayton Airpark, but they fly every weekend that its not breezy in the winter, in the summer you can find people flying on a daily basis.

 

Clayton Lake, State Park offers many wonderful things such as Fishing (there is a fishing derby held once a year), camping, walking and star gazing.

Clayton Arts Festival shows many local artists from High School, to locals and even nationwide artists.

Clayton Museum offers lots of extremely interesting information on the history of Clayton.

Clayton Municipal Swimming Pool is a perfect way to spend a day in the hot New Mexico sun.
